It looks like you are only seeing the First 1% or so of the particles. Try increasing the display percentage in the Viewport rollout of the PRT Loader’s modify panel or switching the dropdown that says “Load Using Render Mode” to “Load Every Nth Particle”. Can you verify that it is just the viewport and if you render these particles, do you see all of them?
